About the experience

At Quinta da Teixuga, in Nelas, Caminhos Cruzados is one of the strongest images of the so-called ‘New Dão’: 42 hectares of vineyard surround a 2017 fair-faced concrete winery, designed from the start to welcome visits and tastings in a contemporary architectural language.

The base programme we propose to Solar guests walks through the winery, fermentation, ageing and shop, and ends with a guided tasting of three wines. The Caminhos Cruzados, Titular and Clandestino ranges show the work of winemakers Carla Rodrigues, Carloto Magalhães and Manuel Vieira with varieties such as Touriga Nacional, Alfrocheiro, Jaen and Encruzado.

For longer stays there are richer options: premium tasting with a sausage and cheese board, picnic in the vineyard, Creative Winemaking (blend and bottle your own wine), Aroma Game, Peddy Paper, Wine & Chocolate and a cooking workshop with chef Miguel Vidal.
