With over fifteen years of experience in hospitality between Coimbra and Pico Island, we have developed projects in properties distinguished by their location and architectural singularity.
Solar de Vilar Seco is today a Country House (Turismo de Habitação) project. After three centuries as the family home of the Ponces de Carvalho, from the founding couple in 1758 to the 1st Count of Vilar Seco, the Manor now opens its doors to those who wish to discover it, beginning a new chapter of its long history.
From the very first moment, the Manor proved to be a unique property where history, built heritage and nature meet in perfect harmony, at the heart of a wine region with deeply rooted traditions.
Our priority was to raise comfort standards without compromising the authenticity and rural character of the space. We worked closely with architects, engineers and designers, seeking solutions that respected the 18th-century lines, the neoclassical stuccoes and the original stonework.
We have built close relationships with local producers, especially in wine and gastronomy, creating partnerships that enrich the experience of every visitor.
