About the trail
The walk starts in Santar's historic heart and crosses a landscape deeply tied to Dão wine. Between Paço dos Cunhas, Casa de Santar, churches, vineyards, views over the Caramulo range and the descent to the Dão river, this is probably the trail most aligned with the spirit of Solar de Vilar Seco.
The return follows an ancient Roman-origin causeway, with an optional detour to a medieval stone wine press.
